Overview

This research area develops novel materials and binders for ground improvement applications, particularly deep soil mixing (DSM). The work spans cementitious, pozzolanic, fibre-reinforced, and alkali-activated materials, with applications in geotechnical and construction engineering.

Recent work has extended to fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) behaviour and bitumen durability, bridging materials science with practical construction applications.
